Module 5- Pod, Vods, Videos and Violins !!

Onto the next instalment, Module 5.
I learnt that the Podcast is an audio or video file archived on the Internet in such a way that it can be automatically accessed by a personal computer, downloaded and transferred to a portable MP3 player. Wow!!
You don't have to depend on the traditional method.
No satelite. No videos ?
Move away from 'I can't' to 'I CAN.'

I continue to be fascinated and take on board I CAN.

Until we meet again, transfer,download and listen to your MP3 to your hearts content !!

Module 4- Flickr Here Flickr There Flickr Everywhere !!

Now to the world of Flickr.
It is another vehicle to tell a srpry with your photos.
You can add notes and keep people up to date,especially as life and events move on so quickly.
I like the set up as you can tag your photos and categorise them so others can find them on the search.
You can have a conversation through comments, notes and more.
You can 'favourite' photos to easily find them later and see who has favourite yours.
The important part is PRIVACY and the fexible privacy contros make sharing your images simple and secure.

Keep on Flickring to your hearts content !

Module 3

Hello Fellow Bloggers,

As we continue on our journey of exploration, let us take a moment now to ponder on the next stage of our discovery! -- Module 3.

'Goggle docs in Plain English.'
Good bye to messy email attachments. Goggle Docs you have full control of who can see & access your documents. There is only one document, secure link and you can invite writers to collaborate on the document. Easy to edit work.

From - 'Teachers and Principals Talk about Goggle Docs'.
All students can participate, learning is happening any time of the day.
You can communicate across states, countries. Now I need to connect my relatives and brush up on my Italian.

I liked the comment from one of the teachers, that you can see which student is doing the lion's share of the work- no hiding behind someone elses work.

The fact that you can interact with others and they can expand, comment and perhaps ehance your ideas is a positive way of engaging with others.

Using Goggle Docs spreadsheet allows students to publish and to become publishers on a worldwide level.

A really great point that was made was that having students use Goggle Docs raises the level of their work because they begin to understand how many people are reading what they've done and they want it to be the best they can do.

Nothing like performing when you know you have an audience !

Hi Bloggers !
What did I learn in Module 2??
Good question. I will try to collate my thoughts, at the moment they are scattered with all the new knowledge and information I have been exposed to !!
The viedos explained how it gives people the power of the media.
Blogging is news according to the Blogs In Plain English viedo that we saw.
Also interesting was finding out more about the educational use of blogs.

I have learnt that the videos are easy to understand and Web 2.0 helps you build relationships with people of similar interests.
There are so many different applications.
